Why is Yamamoto neoprene so much warmer?
Fact: Yamamoto Neoprene: Only 2% water absorption compared to 40-60% with competitive wetsuits. Water robs your body of heat 25x faster than air. You don’t waste precious body heat warming a cold water-logged wetsuit.
“Hating the cold I couldn't find a wetsuit that’s both warm, comfortable, and flexible. Needless to say, after purchasing this suit, my expensive RipCurl wetsuit will get donated.” - Jenn G
AS LIGHT AS IT GETS
YAMAMOTO NEOPRENE | ABSORBS WAY LESS WATER
Warmth Without Weight
Why Are Isurus Wetsuits So Light?
Fact: Most wetsuits absorb between 40-60% of their weight in water depending on their age. Isurus wetsuits made from 100% Japanese Yamamoto Neoprene absorb only 2% water weight. So you don’t tire out as fast.
“This is a fabulous wetsuit! It is warm, soft, stretchy and soooo lightweight in the water. I have worn a full suit by just about every manufacturer in my 25 years of surfing and this one is an absolute game changer! Do not buy any other suit until you try this one it is simply awesome!” – Kimy H.
WE BELIEVE GOOD DESIGN MATTERS
ARMS-UP DESIGN | ZERO PADDLE RESTRICTION
How Does Arms-Up Design Work?
Fact: The Ember wetsuits are designed with “Arms Overhead” which puts you in the ideal paddling position. Wetsuits are designed with the arms hanging at your side. Works great for clothes, not so good for paddling. Think of how much restriction you get when you try to raise your arms above your head when wearing a heavy jacket.
“This is by far the best suit I have ever owned. It is lightweight so I can move freely, and at the same time super warm. I didn't realize all the suits I've worn before had resistance when paddling, and in this suit I feel like I'm paddling in a bathing suit and have no resistance.”- Megan S.
WE BELIEVE DESIGN MATTERS
BAD DESIGN: WHAT NOT TO DO
WHY DO WETSUIT COMPANIES MAKE SUITS WITH SO MANY SEAMS?
Fact: We don’t get it. The problem is the more panels in a wetsuit stitched and glued together the more potential for seam tears and leaking. Stitching smaller pieces together means the wetsuit company can make more money. You don’t have to throw away the small pieces of neoprene.
“So light the wetsuit feels like the suit is an extension of my own body. Feels so smooth and soft. Love not getting rashed” - Mary O.
COMPRESSION WETSUIT
THE LIGHTEST AND MOST FLEXIBLE TECHNOLOGY
“I just wanted to say this suit is EPIC. I’m back in Britain where the air temp is about 35 and water is in the 50s. I’ve had a lot of winter suits, including several customs, Yamamoto ones and a Patagonia Yulex one. This is by far the best. It feels like cashmere and the cut is incredible. The water is freaking cold here and good suits are like hen’s teeth!” - Shannon D
Quick Drying
Starts Lights | Stays Light | Dries Fast
“The Ember is so much warmer and lighter than any wetsuit I have ever worn. And I have worn a lot of wetsuits.” – Shannon Q.
WE BELIEVE DURABILITY IS THE BEST FORM OF SUSTAINABILITY
What Makes Yamamoto Neoprene So Good?
Fact: Yamamoto neoprene has a much higher nitrogen cell content than competing materials. And, this high cell ratio found in the limestone based, Yamamoto neoprene, also results in lower water absorption and increased durability over petroleum based suits. Compared to Yamamoto rubber, Natural Rubber is highly susceptible to deterioration (cracking and stiffening) when exposed to sunlight. Causing pre-mature aging of the rubber.
“It feels so flexible while still keeping me toasty in the water. It has lasted much longer than other wetsuits brands I used to wear. They have put just as much time and effort into the woman's suits as the men's, which is refreshing to see.” - Kiara W.
